Canon Abilities: Zari’s totem allows her to control gusts of wind. That’s it. Non-superhero abilities, however, include: speaking 3 languages fluently (english, farsi, french), using her social savvy to deceive or manipulate (she's just really good at acting- which btw she's a classically trained actor), and she has fantastic memory recall... generally used for ridiculous things like carb counting or keeping track of how long it's been since she's had a donut.
Inventory: Her totem, the key John gave her to his pocket dimension house (though I understand if this doesn’t work immediately or at all), her cell phone, and the cute red flapper outfit she was wearing.

Zari grew up in a world with superheroes, so even from a young age, she believed in magic. It’s hard not to when you were the child that found a dragon egg at age 10 and bonded with the dragon that hatched. Because this was the history point that changed past!her’s timeline, and the Anti-Metahuman act was never passed, it’s safe to assume that there was no shortage of powerful superheroes and villains around in her timeline.
Even later, when Zari joined the Legends, she had first hand experience with magic- especially with John Constantine as a sometimes member of the team… which then leads to her now very complicated relationship with magic. She knows it’s useful and can be used for good, she’s seen that plenty of times. But she also knows that it often comes with a price, or can be less than ideal in the wrong hands.
Zari would rather NOT be a mythological creature, thank you very much. But, like, if she had to pick? Maybe a Siren/Mermaid, because they’re gorgeous and can use their powers to get what they want. (Something she would have taken more advantage of when she first joined the Legends/before her time with them getting Character Development.) A dragon would be a second choice, but that feels really too on the nose given that she’s known as Dragon Girl back in her timeline because of the incident with Wickstable at Heyworld. It’s less that she wants to use powers to get more things, and more that she’s scared of being found undesirable or useless. Something cute and powerful would give her, even if false, a sense of belonging and usefulness.
But really, the most important part is still Looking Good. She would DREAD having to become something awful and ugly, like a banshee or baba yaga. ZERO cool powers would ever outweigh looking like an old hag.
Ever Fallen in Love for a very In Universe, no questions asked, answer. A younger Zari, even by a year, never would have even known the song exists. But it’s through her relationship with John that he introduces it to her and that she instantly finds herself connecting to. If she were to hear this song, even with as shitty of a breakup she had with John, she’d still be finding herself trying to find where it was coming from.
He’s the first person she ever truly loved and felt as though she didn’t have to play a part around- she could just be herself. Not the Zari that she created as her Brand since childhood stardom found her. There’s also the fact that she’s still in love with him, no matter how angry or upset she is with how everything went down. She’d do it all again in a heartbeat and hearing that song would give her the hope that… maybe it’s him. Or a sign.
A few years ago, Zari’s answer would’ve been no one. (Well, it was technically Behrad to the Waverider, but only bc he tricked her by stealing her phone.) She was too self-absorbed to actually follow anyone for a heroic or adventurous reason- though she might say she would for the Optics™.
Now, however, she’d follow just about her entire team of Legends to a different realm or dimension, for either heroic OR adventurous reasons. After all, she basically has already if you say timeline shenanigans are the same as realm jumping shenanigans. But if had to be pared down to ONE person, her immediate answer will now and forever be her brother, Behrad. Especially after she had to deal with his death and helping the Legends find a way to resurrect him (culminating in a fight against history’s greatest villains to the Thong Song by Sisqo). Family means too much to Zari for her to pick anyone above him, even if maybe John would’ve been tied as an answer a few episodes prior to her current canon point.

Active Times/Pace: MTN timezone, active times very, as does pace. I try my best, but I deal with a lot of brain fog and flare ups from my chronic health shit.
Brackets/Prose: I’m comfortable with either! So whatever you want, I’m down.
Offensive Subjects & Triggers to Avoid: Animal abuse, mostly. But that’s all I can think of.

Physical Affection: PLEASE. Remind this lady that she’s worthy of love. I mean, maybe not like right away without talking to her a bit? But you get the idea.
Physical Violence: I’m not the best at writing fighting/conflict/etc. But I’m not entirely opposed, just hmu in a dm or something first and we can plan.
Relationships: PLEASE. Zari has Very Complicated Feelings right now bc her ex is here and she still kind of holds a flame for him despite how Messy it all was. But she’s a very no-strings-attached kind of girl for the most part… but sometimes can be talked into relationships. :D

Psychic & Psionic Information: She has no defenses against it- but if you want some fun things to play with, just lmk.
Magical Information: She technically doesn’t have magic, but she does have a family totem that allows her to control gusts of wind from it.
Medical Information: Nothing special! She’s from a branched timeline, but nothing from Legends or DCTV suggests that she’ll have strange med info because of it. Just a fit, vain, 30-something year old.
Offensive Subjects & Triggers Associated with This Character: There was about half a season of her brother being dead. She recently had a hell of a breakup with her ex. She has been known to focus on juice cleanses and carb counting before, so some restrictive eating triggers might come up.

Personality: At first glance, Zari is assumed to be arrogant, egotistical, selfish, and rude. Certainly, she is somewhat all of those things. Since she rose to fame quickly and built her multi-million dollar empire centered entirely around herself and her brand, she gives off those vibes. But much of that is a mask for her own deep-rooted insecurity.
Because all she has going for her is her brand, she feels as though her parents favor her brother over herself. He’s the one going to college for a business degree, after all, and is constantly doted upon. Even when she became a sort-of member of the Legends, when there was talk of a “different her” potentially being there before timelines shifted, she found herself extremely insecure at how awesome and competent said her could have been. She’s only a half decent hacker because of the meshed memories, and the first version of her had been the totem wielder unlike herself. It’s the first time that Zari really lets down her mask and shows her vulnerability.
Even though she is jealous of other-her and her brother, with how awesome they are- she is seen to be very nurturing to those she cares about. Whether it’s doting on Behrad if he gets hurt or if there’s a possibility of him getting hurt… Or even when her relationship with John Constantine flourishes and she constantly plucks cigarettes from his hands to keep him on track with quitting smoking. She can also be found primping other female members of the crew, making sure their hair is always in place and they always look 100% on point.
Flirtatious and socially savvy, Zari isn’t afraid to use her social butterfly status to manipulate things in her favor. Zari used her knowledge of influence to assume the identity of Cleopatra when she and John were stuck around several hell encores who would have murdered them on the spot. And it wasn’t through a slip up of hers that they were discovered- it was through his own slip up. When she first met Nate, who showed his obvious interest in her without even bothering to hide it, she attempted to use that to her advantage to figure out what Behrad was up to.
Though many of her initial qualities may be seen as negative, through her time with the Legends she’s become less of the negative and more of the positive, even turning to use perceived negative traits into positive ways to help her new friends.
After her very rocky relationship with John ended and she and the others found themselves trapped in the twenties, Zari's more comfortable at showing the Real her- not the mask she was putting on. She'll still slip back into old habits, but she's getting better at being vulnerable and showing how much she cares. (Which is probably the best outcome of her doomed relationship with John- she was comfortable enough to be herself around him and he loved her for who she really was... not her social media persona.)

She'll mostly just resort to "unplugging" something instead. But if it's for her Brand, she might spend a little more time figuring it out.
Inventory: Her clothes, ofc. But a box of her brand of herbal supplements called "Dragon Ash"... honestly it's just herbal supplements in powder form to add to drinks for like help sleeping, better focus. Stuff like that.
And the pocket dimension key that John gave to her after they broke up. Essentially it creates a doorway to John's pocket dimension version of his home. Doesn't go anywhere else- and no one can get in there other than by using this key.
Very okay with it not working/not working immediately here.
Eternal Reward: Well, she'd like for all of her friends to NOT go to time jail for life.
Goals/Ideas: Zari really needs to regain some of her confidence- it was really fucked over when she and John were having trouble/breaking up/he died then came back just to be like "yeah no, i'm stuck going to hell for a while now"... other than that, I'm just excited to vibe with her and see where the flow takes us
